We Have Been Unable to Use Windows Live Messenger for Days Now

For the past few days everyone in the office has not been able to log in to Windows Live Messenger it would keep telling us that we do not have administrative rights to use the program. These past few days have been a drag since we use the live messenger to communicate with technical support representatives over cases and what not. Even though people from the other account thinks of Windows Live Messenger simply as a tool for chit chat amongst teammates but the truth is it is one of the most important tools we need to start our shift right. Apart from the administrative rights error our team lead said that there has been a known MSN problem with user accounts. She said it must be a side effect from the upgrade being worked on the server side. She said that the technical guys are working on it as fast as they could so that the MSN users could go and log in with their accounts. I sure hope wed be able to log in to Windows Live Messenger soon.

Dream House Fix-up: Where Would I Start?

After seeing the excellent work done on our local church - stone restoration of the clock tower, with men high up on the building in wire systems - it put me in the mood for some DIY.

Which one of my many dream house projects would I choose if I had the resources? I think I would start in the bathroom. I would pull all the outdated yellow ceramic tile off the wall in my shower and replace it with a new one piece shower surround that would be easy to clean. Then I would scrape all the chipped gray paint off my shower floor and put down ceramic tile. Since my bathroom is small, I would have custom built cabinets installed for storage with a large plain mirror placed in between the cabinets. The cabinet top would be a Corian or Cambria product and the countertop would house a glass raised sink. The light fixtures above the sink would be open bottom glass with enough of them to create a nice bright atmosphere. The floor would also be ceramic as well as the bathtub surround - possibly the larger size glass tile for the surround. I would install a ventilation fan and a ceiling heater for comfort when stepping out of the shower or bath. The bathtub would be a whirlpool tub for a luxurious relaxing soak. All fixtures and floor would be white so that I could accessorize the bath in any color without having to make major changes to the bath. Oh, to dream!

Where is Rob? I thought I made it clear to everyone that I am going to make a very important announcement. Why is Rob not here? Can anyone please tell me? Rob was never close to his father. In fact, he is not close to anyone in the family. Rob sees himself as an outsider in their home because he is very different from them. Unlike his siblings, Rob never excelled in school. In fact, he had trouble getting a passing mark especially when he was in high school. His parents resent him because they were always invited for conferences to discuss Rob's behavior and academic problems. Needless to say, his parents were embarrassed with Rob's performance. When he got older, Rob never developed interest in their family owned business. He would rather work on those tumble dryer reviews than work for his father's company. Rob could only care less about the announcement that his father was about to make. He knew that whatever it is, doesn't concern him anymore. After all, they've stopped treating him like family a long time ago.

I went to a boarding school so I know everything about being a boarder. I would never allow my child to attend a boarding school. You might think a boarding school is the best place to tame your child but then from experience it only makes them worse and they tend to repress so much emotions. Back in the days when I was so young and the government provided grants for boarding schools, my parents sent me there and it was not as fun as I thought it to be. If not for the fact that I came from a good home I would have learnt a lot of things that could be classified as bad. Keeping a child in a boarding school does not shield them from becoming wayward it only keeps that part of the inactive for the main time and by the time they are through with boarding school it is going to spring up massively. Children need close parental watch, boarding schools don't actually provide that watch and love for them at all.

Get Me out of This Box and into a Dome Home

My house is very small and square. When I saw pictures of ancient dome-shaped buildings, I wondered why did we choose the box for our preferred housing shape. I think about a baby inside a mother's stomach, an egg or dome shape, and I think I want a house like that. I want a house made out of hardened mud-cement like the ancient Native American adobes in a large dome structure with a sky light at the top. I found an organization that does these called, CALEARTH. With their plans you can build these elegant, vaulted dome structures out of the dirt straight from your building site. I'm handy with multiquip and other tools, so I could even lend a hand.

Imagine if we stopped cutting down all the trees and spewing pollution into the air shipping tons of logs around the world to build square home that I am not happy in. That's why I want this earth dome. Like an upside-down ceramic bowl with windows. Like a earthen flying saucer.

Why Tahiti Is My Favorite Vacation Spot!

We chose to vacation in Tahiti for our honeymoon! We stayed on the island of Moorea which is about 10 miles in circumference! This island was so peaceful, we felt like the only ones there at most times outside of participating in fun activities or eating. The water is so clear and warm, you can relax for hours underneath the palm trees or walk along the beach collecting coconuts! We swam with the dolphins one day, took a boat out to do a shark and ray feeding tour as well as participate in a traditional Tahitian feast. We also rented a scooter and toured the island one afternoon, stopping at a village of locals who sell handmade items. I bought a purse and my husband had a tattoo done. This is a huge cultural statement in Tahiti, you can tell who a person is by their tattoos. The food was tasty, but just the glorious scenery and beauty of the islands is enough to have me back hopefully soon!

Our next vacation is a very different one - staying in a Peak District cottage - I'm looking forward to it!

Because black goes so well with just about anything in the wintertime, I don't have to think about whether or not the scarf will match my outfit. Additionally, the fabric is so warm and soft, it is good company for my journeys out into the cold. The black of my cashmere scarf is a dark one, allowing it to blend into the background of my outfits and not detract from them. I particularly like to wear colorful items so that the wintertime is a bit brighter and not so drab. Therefore, the black scarf melting into the background of my outfit for the day is a wonderful aspect! When I leave my house, I grab my favorite black cashmere scarf and go to my destination with confidence, knowing it will work just right with whatever I'm wearing that day.

I was having my friend who moved to live in Italy some years ago over for a weeks holiday and i was getting the spring cleaning done in the house.  I wanted to make sure it was all tidy and the guest room was all freshened up for her visit, i hadn't seen her for nearly eight years!  Then the phone rang and she said she may not be able to come as there was an issue with her Italian passport. A long time ago, we were content with antennas attached to tv. This is something totally unheard of in today's generation. Antenna is definitely out, while cable is in! Who knows what technology will offer in the coming days. Everything changes so fast. I don't know why, but there's always a feeling in us that we have to keep pace with the changes around us. Anyway, earlier this afternoon, Jake came to the house to closely watch as dad showed him how to connect cable to tv. Jake is my long time buddy, having grown together in the same neighbourhood. He's like a son to my dad as I am a son to his dad. We're family, no doubt. We celebrate special occasions together. It's either he goes to our house or we go to his. We can definitely count on each other especially in bad times. It's good to know that there are other people aside from our own families, who look out for us and our welfare. Thank God for really wonderful neighbours!
